A branch and cut approach to the cardinality constrained circuit problem

چکیده
The Cardinality Constrained Circuit Problem (CCCP) is the problem of finding a minimum cost circuit in a graph where the circuit is constrained to have at most k edges. The CCCP is NP-Hard. We present classes of facet-inducing inequalities for the convex hull of feasible circuits, and a branch-and-cut solution approach using these inequalities. †Current Address: Argonne National Lab, Math and Computer Science Division, 9700 S. متن کاملDATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS WITH FUZZY RANDOM INPUTS AND OUTPUTS: A CHANCE-CONSTRAINED PROGRAMMING APPROACH
In this paper, we deal with fuzzy random variables for inputs andoutputs in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). These variables are considered as fuzzyrandom flat LR numbers with known distribution. The problem is to find a method forconverting the imprecise chance-constrained DEA model into a crisp one. This can bedone by first, defuzzification of imprecise probability by constructing a suitablem...
متن کاملA multi-objective resource-constrained project scheduling problem with time lags and fuzzy activity durations
The resource-constrained project scheduling problem is to find a schedule that minimizes the project duration subject to precedence relations and resource constraints. To further account for economic aspects of the project, one may add an objective of cash nature to the problem. In addition, dynamic nature and variations in real world are known to introduce uncertainties into data. Therefore, t...
متن کاملFacets for the Cardinality Constrained Quadratic Knapsack Problem and the Quadratic Selective Travelling Salesman Problem
This paper considers the Cardinality Constrained Quadratic Knapsack Problem (QKP) and the Quadratic Selective Travelling Salesman Problem (QSTSP). The QKP is a generalization of the Knapsack Problem and the QSTSP is a generalization of the Travelling Salesman Problem. Thus, both problems are NP hard. The QSTSP and the QKP can be solved using branch-and-cut methods, and in doing so, good bounds ...
متن کاملA branch-and-cut algorithm for the maximum cardinality stable set problem
We propose a branch-and-cut algorithm for the Maximum Cardinality Stable Set problem. Rank constraints of general structure are generated by executing clique separation algorithms on a modi4ed graph obtained with edge projections. A branching scheme exploiting the available inequalities is also introduced. A computational experience on the DIMACS benchmark graphs validates the e8ectiveness of t...
